France - Hauteford to Chauvigny

The Marquis Jacques-Francois de Hauteford was known as a miser in court but he was happy to spend his money on the Chateau and the Hospice in the village which he founded in the 1600s. Here we are approaching the entry drawbridge over the dry moat of Hauteford Chateau.
